Sewerby 01 (August 2008)

Sewerby Hall is located just north of Bridlington and dates from between 1714 and 1720. It was purchased, along with some of the grounds, in 1934 by
Bridlington Corporation. Part of the hall contains the Museum of East Yorkshire, including a room of artifacts belonging to the aviator Amy Johnson which
were donated by her father in 1958. Amy herself opened the Hall to the public in 1936 and the building is now a Grade I listed country house.
