37002 is probably the Class 37 loco
i saw the most of during the late 80's - every time i pointed a camera it seemed to come into view!. This was the 3rd Type 3 loco to roll off
the English Electric Vulcan Foundry Works production line in December 1960. Originally numbered D6702 (until the mass renumbering in 1974 when
it became 37002) it was a Immingham loco at the time this photo was taken, then by 1989 it had been renumbered (again) to 37351 and was later
sent up north to Scotland. The late 90's saw it wearing Transrail grey livery. Dumped into storage during December 1999 and then possibly
scrapped after 2000? |
