Class 37 - Classic Photo 19:   37153 at Brocklesby (14th June 1988)
37153 approaches Brocklesby from the west with a train load of steel coils. Originally numbered D6853 (leaving the English Electric Vulcan Foundry works in July 1963) 37153 was another Immingham loco at the time of the photo but just a month later was transferred to Inverness. It remained a Scottish loco for the next ten years until returning south (to Toton) in 1998. By the summer of 1999 37153 was becoming worse for the wear and ended up in storage (and ultimately became another donor loco) before, sadly, after 30 years service, its working life ended (in January 2003) when it was cut up at Booths, Rotherham.
