The only shot i have of Tan Y Grisiau Incline's Drumhouse is from 1992 and it shows it's the poor condition of the structure by then. This was a typical simple, but solid, structure built on a very exposed location.

By 1995 the untopping work at Cwmorthin had drastically changed the surface remains. Pic 28 shows the site of the Main 6-1 Incline now buried under several thousand tonnes of waste rock. Compare this with Pics 10, 18 & 20.
